boracay!

this is actually a late post.. visited boracay last march 27-30, 2009. We fly with cebu pacific to caticlan. Boarding time was 1540H.. we arrive at terminal 3 at exactly 1300H which i think is earlier than the scheduled check in time. The line was too long and we waited patiently (we don't want to spoil our vacation) only to find out that we our flight will be redirected to kalibo. WTF! The costumer care approach each and everyone of the passengers asking if it would be okay with everyone to be redirected. We ask the reason why and answered that the pilot has zero (0) % visibility of the flight.. i immediately called my friend who was arrive earlier on us to boracay and ask if it's raining there.. well, she said that the sky is so blue.. the water is so clear but somehow with algae but everything is very fine and eberyone is happy out there. well... we ask the person in charge if we still have a choice and he said none.. we told him that we are not flying with their promos and said that there's no excemption but they will give us a one way ticket to any destination. Our flight then was redirected to kalibo and the departure was move to 1640H. They also shoulder the expense of our transfer from kalibo to Catclan. Well.. somehow that's nice of them but our precious time was wasted. We arrive at Boracay at 2000H.. and we forget all the things that happened. We just enjoyed our vacation. Summer is here! Boracay is one of the best destination during this time of the year. And I'm going there this summer!
I have been in the island for 3 times during the year of 2007. Never had a chance to be there last year because of NCLEX( i passed!) so now this year is a boracay year again.
Going there should not be expensive but should not also be cheap.. remember, it's a vacation and one should enjoy it.
Anyway, to have a hassle free vacation, it's better to plan ahead of time.. book flight early. PAL, Cebu pacific, Sea Air and zest air flies daily to Caticlan.

From the airport, you have to ride a tricycle going to the port. The fare is about P50 thought its only like 5 minutes ride and only few blocks from the airport. In the caticlan port you will need again to ride a boat. At the terminal port pay P150 for the boat ride, terminal fee and environmental fee.. locals pay only for boat ride.. so, if you know their dialect.. good for you.. you pay less.

Once you step in the island of boracay.. you need to ride a tricylce or a multicab which will bring you to your hotel/resort. The tricycle fee ride defends to where yor hotel/resort is.. but fee to d'mall is P100.

Resorts are widely scattered in the white beach and sectioned to Station 1, Station 2 and Station 3.. Station 1 has the finer sand, Station 2 is where the action is while Station 3 has the best beach and less poluted..

Had a very tiring day.. had 3 Cesarean section, 1 Normal Spontaneous Delivery and 1 G1P0 on labor.. Labor watch.. I hate labor watch.. I prefer operations than monitoring labor watch... When we are talking about labor watch, it means monitoring uterine contractions and the progress of labor. When monitoring uterine contractions, we time the duration, the interval and the its frequency.. Duration starts from the beginning of a contraction to the end of the same contraction. Interval starts from the end of a contraction to the beginning of the next contraction. Frequency is from the beginning of a contraction to the beginning of the next contraction while intensity is the strength of a uterine contraction which has 3 phases namely: increment, acme and decrement.
It is not only the uterine contraction that is being monitored during labor watch. The nurse should also observe for bloody show. Bloody show is mucous tinged with blood. She should also take note of the cervical dilatation, effacement and station. Fetal heart tone of the baby is also checked to ensure both mother and baby is doing well.

when i was younger, snail mail and telephone is the only way of communicating with friends abroad.. i still can remember that i actually been writing pen friends and happy to collect stamps from different countries but it took weeks for me to receive news and updates with friends who are miles away from me and it is very costly. Thanks to friendster and facebook! now it's easier to communicate and its on real time!

cebu pacific

i love cebu pacific.. that's because it flies to boracay(caticlan) 9 times a day.. and they have promos that will give you a cheaper way of enjoying places one would like to visit and enjoy.
Way back 2007 was my first flight with them.. and it was a route going back and forth from manila to kalibo. This year i will be back to Boracay and fly with them again.. I was able to book a flight again with them going to cebu and guess how much is the fare.. its P906 roundtrip for 2persons.. isn't that great?! here'the website..
