F2B category

Everyone's been asking me why i am still unmarried. Well, i have been asked this for so many times. And the answer? It is because my fiancé is under petition on family based immigration. And he is on F2B category. And F2B category is for unmarried son and daughter who is above 21 years old of lawful permanent resident.

We got excited last year because his priority date become current. And we wonder why we have not receive any information or letter from the NVC. We emailed them of the matter and they emailed back informing us that they never receive any notice from The USCIS. USCIS will approve the petition and send I797 to NVC. It happened that the I797c was sent and an application for action was required. After knowing that, his brother immediately fill up I824 and paid $340. In about 2 weeks we received an email that NVC received the I797 from USCIS. After knowing that information, we followed this flowchart.

September 8, 2010 : I824 was sent to USCIS

September 16, 2010: I824 was received by USCIS

October 14, 2010 : NVC received NOA2 and assigned a new case number

October 17, 2010: Emailed NVC the DS3032 (Choice of agent)

October 21, 2010 : DS3032 and AOS bill was generated

October 28, 2010 : AOS fee was accepted by NVC

October 29, 2010: DS3032 was received by NVC

November 3, 2010 :IV fee bill received thru email

November 5, 2010 : IV fee paid electronically

November 12, 2010: Ds230 and I864 was sent to NVC
March 21, 2011: Case Complete
November 6, 2012: Received Interview Letter through Email
November 19-20, 2012: Medical st SLMEC
December 18, 2012: US Embassy interview (yay)
December 22, 2012: Visa on Hand (pick-up at 2go Robinsons Ermita)
December 24, 2012: Ticket to HI
December 26, 2012: PDOS
December 29, 2012: Flight to HI
January 9, 2013: Aplied for SSN
January 11, 2013: SSN on hand (received via mail)
January 18, 2013: DVM-passed the written exam, Greencard on Hand with the welcome to USA letter!

* Dates regarding RFE's was not documented but as of to date, we are still awaiting for NVC for his case to be completed. We are not in hurrying nowadays because there was a retrogression in his category and hoping Visa bulletin for March will give us good news!
